Surgery
Bloodwork & imaging
Bloodwork confirms your pet can handle anesthesia and recover well. Comprehensive chemistry with CBC is required for all dental procedures, and the doctor may require it for other surgeries based on history. We always recommend bloodwork before anesthesia.
| Pre-op panel (liver, kidney, glucose) | $50 |
|---|---|
| Comprehensive chemistry with CBC | $135 |
| Coagulation panel (PT/aPTT) | $75 |
| X-rays, 2 views (lung/heart) | $150 |
| X-rays, 4 views (abdomen added) | $250 |
| Heartworm test | $25 |
| FeLV/FIV test | $45 |
Anesthesia support
Anesthesia lowers blood pressure, which can make veins hard to access in an emergency. An IV catheter gives us direct access; adding fluids stabilizes blood pressure and helps the liver and kidneys clear anesthesia faster.
| IV catheter (not available for feline spay/neuter) | $25 |
|---|---|
| IV catheter with fluids | $45 |
| E-collar cone | $20 |
Vaccines & microchip
We offer rabies (canine and feline), DA2PP, Bordetella, FVRCP, and FeLV. Walk-in vaccine clinics run most Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm — no appointment needed. A complete set does not include boosters.
| Each vaccine, at time of surgery | $30 |
|---|---|
| Each vaccine, at a vaccine clinic | $35 |
| Complete set | $70 – $80 |
| PetLink microchip, lifetime registration | $25 |
Additional procedures
| Baby teeth removal with spay/neuter | ~$150 |
|---|---|
| Baby teeth removal, standalone | $250 |
| Umbilical hernia repair | $30 – $50 |
| Anal gland expression | $20 |
Dewclaw removal — $300 or more
Our doctors do not recommend dewclaw removal and do not offer front dewclaw removal at all. It is usually an unnecessary, painful amputation with a difficult recovery and frequent rechecks. We recommend simply keeping the nails trimmed, and our doctors may decline the surgery.
Heartworm prevention
Heartworm is spread by mosquitoes and can be fatal, but prevention is inexpensive. Pets six months and older need a $25 test before starting prevention. Prevention pricing varies by weight.
